Kristin’s Yoga Journey

Kristin Love Ross, a South Pasadena-based private yoga therapist, is an IAYT certified Yoga Therapist and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500 hour and Y12SR 12-Step Recovery). Her journey began with a Rodney Yee DVD series to manage her sciatic pain, recommended by a physical therapist. This initial step laid the foundation for a lifelong exploration of yoga’s physical and mental benefits.

During a difficult pregnancy, Kristin’s practice at the Center for Yoga in Los Angeles became a crucial support system. Her midwife introduced her to mindfulness, a practice that helped her navigate the challenges of motherhood and personal crises, including caring for a family member battling addiction. These experiences, coupled with her daughter’s severe allergic reaction and subsequent PTSD, drove Kristin to seek deeper healing through yoga and therapy.

Kristin's commitment to yoga therapy solidified after completing a teacher training with Malachi Grieves and pursuing advanced studies at LMU under Larry Payne, Ph.D. Her journey from struggling twenty-something to a certified yoga therapist showcases the transformative power of yoga. Today, she uses her personal experiences and professional expertise to guide others toward holistic well-being, demonstrating that simple, mindful changes can lead to profound healing.

To dare is to lose one’s footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself.
